A lot of kids go through their "I won't eat that" stages. And some kids are just really picky eaters. Here are a couple of things that might help.
First kids that grow their own foods, are often excited to taste those foods. I know you don't have a farm, but listen do you have a patio or a windowsill? Could you plant something in a pot and grow that as a start? And herbs can be tricky too, cause those you can add to a lot of things.
Another thing that we do in classes is we will often talk about a food that starts with the letter we are discussing. So maybe grapes for G, or squash for S. Often learning about something, and it not being the pressure to eat it, but the opportunity to learn about it and hear about it, and then the "wow we have that here to eat?" factor comes in.
And we have created an entire page for you, that is a resource of some foods, for each letter. It can be a fun way to introduce foods, and variety and to expand on the letter sound all at the same time. And no, you don't have to have a picky eater to use the resource.
Until next time, take care of you!
