One of the ways that Over The Bay Pre-K stands out is that we offer an art class each week in the semester. This is a great opportunity for your child to learn to draw something, and it relates to the work we are doing that week in class too.
It's a focus on fine motor skills, following directions, and success their way.
Some students however need more access to opportunities to work on their drawing skills, and there are several reasons why. Some of those are a student might need extra time building the muscles of the hand, some may really enjoy and be motivated by learning to draw, and some may be in a homeschool program and just want to have an art enrichment activity.
When we see a need that we can meet, we want to make sure and develop that into a program for students. And that is what we are currently creating!
It's a stand alone, recorded content program where the child learns to draw 21 different things AND share a picture of their drawing with their teacher. It's FUN, and colorful and the only supplies you need on hand at home are blank paper, and crayons!
More details coming VERY soon.
Until next time, take care of you!
