Have you asked yourself this? And added things like is okay? is bad?
For years, the American Academy of Pediatrics has recommended no more than two hours of screen time for children and teenagers, and absolutely no screen time for children under 2.
And according to the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry they suggest "For children 2-5, limit non-educational screen time to about 1 hour per weekday and 3 hours on the weekend days."
Screens can offer a lot of educational activities for kids. Programs like ours here at Over The Bay Pre-K for example, but also shows like Sesame Street. In fact using these early years to establish limits, is a great opportunity for the long term health and wellness of your child.
Here's the link to their page if you want more information of what to look for, including other age groups, both younger and older.
Until next time, take care of you.
