It might seem to easy to be true, but did you know that using stickers helps to build fine motor skills? They do! Plus it's a nice quiet activity too.
The peeling the sticker off, and then placing it down motions are helping to build hand eye coordination, and are also building those little muscles in the fingers and hands. And when you create little animals with the stickers, by adding legs, arms, dots, faces, antenna - you are also creating context, and new vocabulary words.
If your little one is struggling to separate the stickers from the page, a good tip is to remove that center backing that holds them all together. For example on a page of hearts, or circles, that white border between each sticker, that when you pull off has all the spaces where the stickers were. Removing that makes peeling the stickers off an easier task.
Have a look at some of the simple ones we shared on Social Media this week as examples.
As you can see it can be simple, easy, and fun - and still educational, because you really are building skills!
Until next time, take care of you!
